Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapy is a holistic therapy treating the whole person. It is helpful to think of “occupation” not as a job, but rather, how a person spends his or her time. Whether it is performing basic self-cares, completing home tasks or just being able to sit up without support, occupational therapy can help people to achieve independence in all areas of their lives.
Although occupational therapy is commonly thought of for only adults, patients of all ages are able to benefit from occupational therapy as well.
Howard County Medical Center does have a contracted Occupational Therapist, Sally Meinecke, to serve patients when the need arises.
