Radiology
Our Radiology Department offers three in-house modalities and three mobile modalities. HCMC has been filmless since 2005, and we offer modern technology to patients in the inpatient and outpatient setting. Staff is available daily until 11pm for your convenience, and we will attempt to meet your needs in any way possible.
Computerized Tomography
CT is the use of X-Ray with a computer to generate images in a cross sectional imaging pattern. We can also evaluate these images in sagittal/coronal planes and have the technology to evaluate in 3D if needed.

On-Call for Emergencies
Magnetic Resonance Imaging
MRI uses magnetic resonance to produce detailed images in all three anatomical planes: axial, sagittal, and coronal. MRI is non-invasive and quite detailed. These test are done in a mobile unit that is located just outside the facility.

Ultrasound
Ultrasound is the use of a transducer that produces frequency sound waves that, when applied to the body produces an image for viewing. It is a great quick tool for diagnosing many diseases. Ultrasound is also widely used for following baby growth and development.

Mammography
Mammography is a low dose of radiation used to produce an image of the breast tissue. Mammography is used to visualize normal and abnormal breast tissue.

Bone Density
Dexa Scans (Dual Energy X-Ray Absorptiometry) is the most commonly used test for measuring bone mineral density. It is one fo the most accurate ways to diagnose Osteopenia or Osteoporosis.

X-Ray is the use of radiation to produce an image. X-ray is used in diagnosing many diseases and ailments within the body and is a helpful tool to your physician.
